Join us for a fun event for a great cause!
This October, bicyclists from across Delmarva and beyond will be participating in a four day riding event to help raise funds for Rotary International's fight to END POLIO NOW.
In 1985, over 350,000 children were stricken with this horrible disease in more than 125 countries. In 2014 the number of cases dropped to 350 worldwide. Currently, through the efforts of Rotary and its partners, polio is endemic in only 3 countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria, which has NOT had a case of polio in more than 6 months.
Rotary District 7630 (Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland) has a long history of supporting Rotary's Polio Plus Program, and this year's District Governor Rob Hemmen is fully committed to continue the fight. Will you join him and me in this effort?
